This week at Resurrection we’ll have our very own DJ Dissonance behind the decks, droppin’ tunes with DJ Azrael, one of the regular miscreants at Haven. Then on 04/01 it’s Rabid Angel and DJ Purple spinning The Fool’s Ball, a CD release party for Interface’s new album The Body Flow EP. In honor of the date The Fool’s Ball will be a costume party with harlequin and jester attire requested and the DJs will bring phenomenal amounts of stupid to the dance floor, spinning only remixes, covers and mash-ups the entire evening. More details to come, but you can always get the scoop by joining us at Res this week!

Follow-up from 02/18/10:
19/02/10
We’d like to extend an official thank you to everyone who turned out to celebrate Peter Lee’s last appearance behind the decks. And to Peter Lee and our very own DJ Dissonance, for bring a massive amount of thump to the floor. We set an attendance record last night with 85 people and there was a good mix of socializing, dancing (OK…stomping…) and celebrating to commemorate our friend’s last hurrah. It never ceases to amaze us how much heart you guys have.
Regarding the incidents that caused me to actually stop the music and make an announcement about our club’s zero tolerance policy toward Creepy Shit ™ we want to remind everyone that our staff is 100% available and accessible should something ever bother you at Res. With the recent swell in attendance we’ve had a lot of fun, adventurous, outgoing and amazing people join our community. But we’ve also had a few more incidents of douchebaggery on the dance floor, obnoxious drunks and guys who aren’t terribly up on their social skills than usual.
If there’s ever a problem we act on it. Fast. Find security, find the bar staff, find a DJ, find another regular who can help you find the staff and tell us what’s on your mind. We care an awful lot about our little tribe and there should never be any doubt that we will take care of you.
On a lighter note, the next Res is 03/04. I’ll be behind the decks with DJ Static, on of the residents at Ceremony’s premier heavy music night, THUD. I’ve been pouring through my collection, finding old hidden gems and discovering new shiny musical objects to throw at you. Oh yes, there will be some funky tribal weirdness. And if you’re interested in seeing what Static’s been up to these days you can always go here:
