I’ve posted our DJ schedule and we’ve got some great guest DJs coming to play with us over the next few months. See below for the lineup.
I wanted to make a special note about February 18, which will feature our resident DJ Dissonance paired up with Peter Lee. Over the years we’ve been extremely lucky to have Peter as a guest behind the decks. Anyone who knows anything about the industrial scene, and especially the noise kids, can tell you that Peter’s a legend. He’s a phenomenal DJ who pushes the limits of what the industrial scene has to offer for music, and chances are that if you can think of a top-notch act Peter’s worked with them, booked them and has them on speed-dial.
I wish I could tell you how many times I’ve been approached by guest DJs looking for a spot who mentioned that Peter highly recommends Resurrection. Word has gotten back to me countless times that Peter has spoken highly of our club and of you guys, which is about the biggest set of props a DJ can give when talking about other clubs.
Recently I talked with Peter and he’s decided to make his next appearance with us his last official DJ gig. With the recent birth of his daughter, Cadence, Peter’s decided to focus on spending more time with his family. My understanding is that he’s still running Force of Nature — his record label — and staying involved with his other projects, like Bereft, but this will be his last time behind the decks.
This isn’t a eulogy. It’s a call to put on one hell of a farewell party. Peter chose Res as his last gig because he knows you’ll end this with a bang, and I can’t think of a better way to pay Peter back for all his support of our community than to oblige him.
Bring as many people as you can on the 18th, buy everyone a drink and throw ‘em on the dance floor.
